White Copperplate written on black envelopes.
Using masking fluid, letters were handwritten in italic calligraphy on a parcel tag. Coloured inks were dropped onto masked lettering. When the inks were dry the masking fluid was removed to reveal the inverse italic lettering.
A card and information about Gothic style calligraphy.
Illuminated Gothic capital letter ‘G’. Watercolour and goldleaf were used to decorate the letter. This type of letter can be used at the beginning of a page of script.
Black and white copperplate.
Illuminated initials decorated with goldleaf. Watercolour was used to paint small delicate flowers and leaves.
A menu handwritten in italic. The menu insert is on white paper and the menu jacket is made from Khadi paper pressed with flowers
